About The Bar and Lounge
Barringer is a classic speakeasy-style bar & lounge located in historic downtown Houston. It is owned and operated by born-and-bred Houstonians and experienced bar veterans, Robby & Chieko Cook.
Prior location was originally in the old Barringer Norton Tailors building a few blocks away. Though the bar has moved locations, it is still in a beautiful historic old building (construction was completed in 1873), formerly housing the Houston Dry Goods and Notion warehouse. 108 Main St. is registered as a historic downtown building, and as lifelong Houstonians, the Cooks are proud to share in this city’s rich history.
Amazing beer, wine, and libations are served to customers as they enjoy this cozy lounge filled with antique furniture and photos. Live music, DJs, and other varying forms of entertainment are shared throughout the week and weekend. This is a “must see” Houston Bar.
